You're even worse about airline stuff than I am! :-)

I try. Mostly I have this weird need to tell people my flight numbers, that way if there's a plane crash they instantly know whether to worry or not.

LOL do you inform them of your driving routes too?

From: [identity profile] c9.livejournal.com
Nope! Even though driving is more dangerous, of course.

Yeah, I've got over 50 machines at my disposal at work, but none of them qualifies as even remotely cool, not even collectively.

I've always wondered -- where do you, airline expert that you are, like to sit? Aisle? Window?

Date: 2005-05-17 09:15 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] c9.livejournal.com
Well, I usually choose Aisle to avoid having to step over someone or be too crowded, but I actually enjoy Window immensely while taking off, landing, and taxiing. Makes it easier to look at the fun planes.

But you forgot to post the aircraft type...

Is it normal for flights to Europe to be routed through Rome?

Date: 2005-05-17 09:18 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] c9.livejournal.com
Normal? Not at all! But it was $100 cheaper, and we get 5000 bonus Aeroplan points, because it's a new route they're promoting.

As for the aircraft type: AC currently uses 767s almost exclusively to cross the Atlantic. A340s usually are used to cross the Pacific. I haven't actually checked the Rome-Marseille flights on Air France, but it's 767s for our Toronto flights.
