Is eBay nothing but trolls now? When I was laptop hunting last year, I would often get emails suggesting an off-eBay purchase of their completely legitimate and completely real laptop for a stupid price, etc etc. But now it happens when I'm selling too! I'm selling Office 2003, and I keep getting total numbnuts asking questions and trying to get me to end the auction and sell to them directly. It's creepy.

My feedback rating is over 300 (user id = "mapleleaves8"), and I've only ever gotten one troll e-mail. And it wasn't for anything I was bidding on or selling - I had bid on an obscure magazine with a cover story on a friend of my brother-in-law's, and got an e-mail offering to sell me a videotape of the Broadway show she was in.

Considered turning him in to authorities - or, worse yet, have Harvey Fierstein go to his house and beat him within an inch of his life with a pink marabou-feathered scuffie...
