Option 1: As we drive back from New Brunswick on December 30th, we stay in Montréal for two nights, and have a party at our hotel. Possibly hit a club or something, but NYE is a very expensive time of year for such things. Then drive home on the 1st.
Option 2: As we drive back from New Brunswick on December 30th, stay one night in Montréal (and hopefully visit friends), then continue to Ottawa for a NYE party in a hotel suite with friends there, then drive home on the 1st.
Option 3: As we drive back from New Brunswick on December 30th, stay one night in Montréal, then drive home on the 31st. Probably do nothing at all for NYE, unless a party appears here.

Maybe my new goal should be to try to get a SIN/whatever-the- particular-country-calls-it-number in every country!
