More travel...

Here we go again! Work has me teaching for a week in Chatham (ugh) and immediately following that, for another week in Winnipeg!


Chatham is located halfway between London and Detroit, for those wondering.


Winnipeg is fairly cold in December, despite its deceptive proximity to sunny North Dakota.

I expect I will spend a lot of time on MSN and LiveJournal those weeks (Dec 6-10, Dec 13-17). Brace yourselves.

Didn't they promise you that there would be little of this constant travelling?

I can refuse to travel, though doing so when it's actually still pretty low is a bit uncooperative of me. :) Plus, if I make myself less useful to the company, they may decide I'm not worth the trouble. I have no fallback job, so this is something I'm avoiding for now. If it gets worse, then absolutely it's time to re-evaluate.

Since August 1, I've been away from home for work 2 weeks, with 2 more coming up. Not huge. Not fun for Vinny of course. 3 weeks I will not do again, and 2 regularly is not acceptable either. On the flipside though, I've requested (demanded) that I be sent nowhere during January, so that rehearsals are not disrupted.
