Dammit, now I'm sunk. I went to the Humane Society with a coworker today as she dropped off a donation. The animals had signs posted near them explaining their situations, their availability, or their quirks. I got to see the rabbits (who can die of fright, I've learned), a huge monitor lizard ("I am NOT available for adoption. Please do not open the terrarium!!"), and a dozen of the cutest dogs ever ("I need help with socializing!", or the depresso-larious "I have particular problems with men.") Even though I know I don't (yet) have the patience to get a dog, and that Vinny wouldn't want one, my heart just about broke seeing them there. They did have 5-6 cats, all old and quiet, with many empty cages -- perhaps an adoption drive recently? I'm trying to pretend that's the only possible reason.

Oh, but we do! You need to read my journal more carefully, my dear. *frown* I bought a laptop last month! We're in fact both computing right now! :)

It's not uncommon for J and I to spend an entire evening apart from each other in the same room. All thanks to technology!

Get some cats. They're good for the soul. Bad for the sofa, but good for the soul. We have a wide variety. Our souls don't need any more help. :-)
