Every time I see a Degrassi: The Next Generation episode, I enjoy it, especially when they're putting in quality queer-content time with Marco. But I never get hooked. I have to force myself to get hooked again so I don't miss this.

I'm a big Kevin Smith fan, so this will be fun.

My sentiments exactly! I love it, but can never seem to get hooked. Watching the originals was fun, eh? I love getting back into all the teenage drama while watching the next gen.

I don't think I'll ever appreciate Degrassi in any form. I think the only reason the Americans like it is because they haven't been subject to years of made-at-home Canadian television. They probably think it's intentionally crappy and not, gosh darn it, earnest Canucks trying their best.

Why must so much of our television be so bad (except for "Corner Gas" of course)? It's like we set the bar with "The Beachcombers" and "The Littlest Hobo", and nobody in the Canadian television industry realizes that yes, we can do better (except, of course, the "Corner Gas" folks because yes, they did do better.)

Even the American TV that gets filmed in Canada sucks. "Mutant X" anyone? You can see the wires attached to the stunt people. It isn't supposed to be "Puppet X".
