Major Appliances Update
Sep. 5th, 2004 10:21 amThat's an update about "major appliances" as Sears calls them. Not a major update.
The washer is very cool. I actually watched almost the whole cycle. I'm easily amused. It's very quiet. The dryer, on the other hand, is not quiet. It's making a small scraping sound. And it set off the smoke detector. I think it's not strong enough to ventilate by itself (the distance from the dryer up and into the ceiling and then out to the outside is significant), so turning on the fan seemed to help. It didn't appear to overheat or anything after that. But the scraping sound (kinda like ball bearings with no oil) worries me. So a technician will be coming to check it out on Thursday.
NOw it's time to paint nearly nude. It's safer that way, otherwise I'd get all my clothes covered in paint (I'm painting the ceiling). Clumsy? Yes. Fun? Also yes.
