I just checked the Ikea catalogue, and we bought the wrong fucking couch. I want to scream. Fucking goddamn couches in the wrong fucking areas. Oh well. Maybe I can convince them to change it around, since the delivery isn't until Friday. Bleah.

well..remember...the thing about Ikea is you have to see the furniture 1st hand. I had the dresser that I thought was the best dresser ever...it fell apart...i just got rid of it. :-(

That's what's annoying: we DID see it. We sat on it. But then we went to pick it up and of course they're wrapped up, so we had to trust that it was correct. Oh well.

Hey Yo! That totally sucks.. But hey look on the bright side.. at least you CAN goto an IKEA store... Remember we here in the Halifax have been missing IKEA since they pulled out in the mid to late 70's. Apparently though St. John's Nfld has the population to support an IKEA, but we here in the HRM with a population of some 300,000 people don't... If I didn't know better I would think IKEA has someone with my level of math skills working for them, and we all know thats really bad.

yes! call IKEA now and have them change the order before it's "ready for delivery"

toby and i almost made the same mistake. once it's wrapped and labelled for delivery, the 3rd party shipping company has no way of knowing, and IKEA can't change anything.

now, you could just refuse delivery on the couch part of the delivery, and i believe you can get a credit from IKEA. of course, you'd then have to re-order the right one, and pay the $49 delivery charge again.

regardless, CALL THEM. toby should know the number by heart now, if you need. LOL.

LOL - I'll be calling first thing in the morn. I figured it out after closing this evening, sadly. The couch we did buy is very similar to the one we wanted (also black leather, same rough shape, just different feet and style), plus it's mondo cheaper, so it's not all bad. :-) I just probably fucked up the selection (Vinny was standing in line)... I've managed to screw up a LOT of stuff today, and it's really wearing me down. :(
