I know you've been waiting with baited breath for these. Well spit out that minnow and get clickin'! There were more pictures, but these were the fun ones.

I call this one Lonely Lemon. This was just too pretty and colourful to not be recorded. [livejournal.com profile] leapfish made us yummy couscous with roasted vegetables. This is them before being sent to their roasting.
[livejournal.com profile] petele and [livejournal.com profile] mashoe possibly startled somewhat by the flash.
[livejournal.com profile] rebelprince26 enjoying the grand nature of our couch at the MGM Grand. Also watching crazy-ass fish on his camera.
Here we are driving around the desert. Most interesting thing to take a picture of at that moment? Us, apparently.
I had big plans to stitch these three, but got lazy (also there's not much more to be gleaned). In this view from our hotel room, the monorail track! Every time it went by, I remembered [livejournal.com profile] cap_hill_latte's somewhat questionable claim that you can near the New York New York roller coaster in every room of the hotel. :) Yay monorails!
This slightly-to-the-right view from our room highlights the nine-lane front entrance to the hotel. Biggest hotel in the world, probably biggest front drive too.
I only included this one to show off the sheer-cliff-like nature of our hotel.
[livejournal.com profile] leapfish was trying to take a picture of the landscape and some dorky tourist stuck his head in the shot.
Hoover Dam, or Star Trek matte background waiting for the f/x team to add the shuttlecraft? You decide.
Air Canada A320, Mandalay Bay hotel (now five years old, must be ready for demolition soon), the Luxor (the black pyramid which shoots a bright while spotlight straight up at night), other big hotels. For reference and scale, the Luxor is 2.2km away.

Also, there's me.
35,000 feet

[livejournal.com profile] leapfish: "Now can you take one zoomed in? Zoomed in so close it's like I'm touching the mountains?" (hand action as if to stroke the mountain)
Just for [livejournal.com profile] cap_hill_latte, the funky shakers. There's not much sense of scale, but if you stand a quarter on its side, that's about how tall they were. There's far less than a teaspoon of anything in them.

Those are great! :-)

I was going to paste that dorky tourist into my Singapore pics, just to show how he gets around, but no time right now. :-)

I wondered what the view was like up on that cliff at Hoover Dam. Now I know.

That's weird. Technical support voice: "Have you tried rebooting?"

"Star Trek matte background waiting for the f/x team to add the shuttlecraft" has to be the best vacation related picture caption I have ever read. Kudos Cameron...Brava! :)
