There are 45,000 signatures at keepitfields.org, a site devoted to objecting to the name change of Chicago's Marshall Field's department store next year to Macy's.

Macy's, the store that inaugurated the policy of insisting that their employees say "Happy Holidays" because the word Christmas might offend, is ignoring the clear offense taken by thousands of people who will never shop there again if the name is changed.

(Gee, this was so much easier than posting that rant in MY journal...)
