I have a Star Alliance screensaver which, in the same vein as this website, shows all the flights of Star Alliance member airlines at a specific time and date across the globe. It's quite fascinating to see the sudden surge of traffic around a hub just before dawn, or all the flights from Europe to North America following the switch from night to day.
True, I have no proof. It just appeared to be enough dots in unusual spots in our airspace. Certainly there's enough of a cluster on Toronto and Vancouver to indicate Canadian data, I think.
Odd. I actually read the data such that it looked like most of the dots over Canada looked to be coming down towards the east coast of the US from Asia and Europe. Maybe it is US airlines, and the dots around YYZ and YVR US flights landing in those cities? Now I'm curious...where did you get the image from?
Thanks. I’m going to use that as my new grammar pet peeve. I’m sure my friends and coworkers will find it to be a refreshing change from hearing me nitpick about their use of “less” when they really mean “fewer”.
