...or rather: iPod; Espresso; Murder.

1. When my iPod Shuffle is plugged in to the desktop's USB port, and then the desktop is powered on, it hangs at the BIOS logo and refuses to boot. How annoying. Nothing more frustrating than non-spec hardware. Except for everything else about computers that's frustrating.

2. The failure to boot until I had removed just about every cable and component in turn, checking them all, led me to thinking about the eventual death of our desktop. So I want this as a replacement. Gimme gimme gimme. Maybe someday I'll actually have that kind of technology toy spending money too.

3. Dear Lazyweb: please find some deep and fascinating meaning in this:

Ha! Since there are only something like 20,000 people in Nunavut, that translates into 2 murders. Statistics per 100,000 is actually a topic that I've been studying this week.

Actually, since PEI has ~135,000 ppl, that does work out to one homicide. Spectacular!

That computer box is so cute. If you get it, I'll try my best to somehow steal it from you! :p

Couldn't you guys have discussed this NOT online, since you live in the SAME house? :p :)

Hmmm... perhaps I will steal it back then.

If you look carefully, you'll see it's not a discussion at all, it's just Vinny talking out loud. He does that a lot.

Verbal communication is SO 1990's.

I was about to go to bed, but decided to come back out to the living room until the hockey game is done, to keep Cam company. As I was going into the room, he looked up at me like a little Rory Calhoun (you know, the one who's always standing?) and I couldn't leave him alone.

Hehe, ahh the joys of hockey. I was catching the GO bus back to Brampton from Union Station and I kid you not. The whole place was overrun by people dressed in blue and white maple leafs. Not just that, the whole city seemed to be teeming with them. In Toronto, you can tell when its gonna be hockey night. :D

My brother and I watched Lost and then saw some team win the Baseball World Series. I miss watching hockey. :(

Too bad for NHL that this TV season is ridiculously full of good shows. :p

The only time I've been on a GO train was on Lakeshore (to Mississauga) as a Jays game was letting out. I'm not exactly fearful of crowds, but everyone has their limit.

Did your first day of fasting go okay? Ramadan started yesterday at sundown, right?

Yep! The first fast is always the hardest. I'm assuming things will get easier after Oct. 15 when my Mom flies into the country to visit. She will be making lots of delicious treats for fast breaking time. Seems like I'll have to rush home earlier to get them while they're hot. So excited about good not-made-by-me food!

The more snow/colder it is, the more likely you are to commit homicide? :-/

I don't know...

Crime is higher in Canada wherever there is a greater concentration of first nations people (though, that's [obviously] caused by other factors).

I can't believe we scored lower than every jurisdiction but PEI. I know we can do better than that.

I predict that 2004 will turn out to be our year at the top!

Or at least at the top for the category: Random beatings for no apparent reasons.
