Tonight's second non sequitur: Geography. Specifically, borders. Some little snippets:

- Newfoundland & Labrador disagrees with Québec regarding their shared border. Luckily they don't start wars over it.

- Windows 95 featured a great little animated map for selecting one's timezone. However, when you clicked your timezone the entire timezone lit up, highlighting borders, and two countries who disagreed with Microsoft's interpretation made some threatening noises toward Redmond. So no more fun map. A sad day.

- This website lets you create a map displaying the countries you have visited in red. Far more entertaining however, are the comments, which span a good 63 pages. Completely inane. It will make you fear for the future even more.

- The Travelers' Century Club is a club for anyone who has visited over 100 countries. However, they have unusual rules for what qualifies as a country. Prince Edward Island, for example, is a country. The full list of 315. I'm at eleven. *sigh*

Wait, PEI counts? I forgot that. Actually, TCC is a big goal for us. I'm currently at 40, and I think Matt's at 38. Latest editions were Brunei, Sabah, and Sarawak back in March. I feel a real itch to add something SOON - but nothing new planned until Fiji and Tuvalu in January.
