Ride for Heart
Jun. 3rd, 2010 02:56 pmOn Sunday, I will be riding 50km in the Ride For Heart, a fundraising ride that shuts down Toronto's downtown expressways (or "arteries") for a few hours so 13,000 people can bike around on them. Wheeee!
I had no idea what to expect when I started fundraising, and set a fairly low goal. But then people kept donating and pushing me further than I expected. I ended up raising over $1100 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation - go me!
If you want to donate that's awesome and you can even donate after the ride is done, all online. Tax receipts are emailed out, and they take plastic. But if you're not able to donate that's OK too - we all give in our own ways to our own causes.

Route "map", for those curious:

Anyway. I haven't trained half as hard as I should have. Pray for Mojo.
