I wish I had a magic wand. Luckily, the little punish-the-cats spray bottle is doing nicely at making the stucco just peel away from the ceiling -- it's radical!

Another couple hours and the entire kitchen ceiling should be roughly flat. Sadly it's bare concrete, so I will have to then plaster it smooth again in a few places. But shouldn't be too too bad. I hope.

Better than the stucco, that's for sure.

UPDATE: Done! The ceiling is now sorta flat and sorta bare. Soooo much easier than the scraping I tried in October.

Not that most of you care, but it's handy for me to keep track.

x remove shitty stucco from ceiling
x somehow get rid of cabinets somewhere (freecycled to somebody)
x decide on new kitchen wall colour (Vinny has decided on cream)
x buy new appliances
x get rid of old appliances (freecycle fridge, future shop takes stove)
- remove old cabinets
- remove old paint from kitchen
- paint ceiling
- paint kitchen
- assemble all the new cabinets
- install all the new cabinets
- make sure that everything fits back together OK
- install countertop, sink, faucet
- connect dishwasher
- remove shitty linoleum floor
- install new tile floor
- clean everything up

Yay for progress!
