There's a lot of waiting involved in property sales, it appears.

There's a real estate agent who works at this company called Gaye Males.

That is all.

This blogging the purchase process is fun. Well, it's fun from the
perspective of me, stuck bored in an empty realtor's office building.
Most of you out there are probably more bored for the experience --
it's karma, I guess. It all balances out.

We saw the place again, still liked it, agreed to make an offer, took
a bunch of pictures so we can remember the shape of the place. We're
back at the realtor's, sitting. She's doing up the offer, but as I
have no idea what that actually entails, we're really tired and bored
and cranky and not interested in being here. Recipe for poor
decisions.

The hotel apparently has free wireless, so expect further nonsense
from us later tonight as we digest our planned Chinese food order.

The hotel did not in fact have free wireless. $11.44 for one day. So
we just went to sleep instead. This morning we checked out, appliance
shopped, and drove to Wasaga Beach to stay with my parents for a
night. But lets rewind.

When we left our heroes, they were about to visit a condo for a second
time, and planning to make an offer. We did visit, I took lots of
pictures (I'll post a few when we get home, but they're all of
somebody else's stuff, so not too useful except for us planning paint
colours and things). We then went back to the office, decided on the
offer, and then went to get some Chinese Food. Checked into the hotel,
ate the food, felt bloated and fat.

7:00 - agent calls, says she will be dropping off the offer shortly
7:56 - agent calls, says she's meeting the other agent and the seller at 8:00
8:30 - agent calls, says they want to keep the washer and dryer (they
spent 3G's on them, so that's understandable) and they want to delay
the closing four days. We say fine.
9:00 - agent arrives at hotel, we initial everywhere, and it's done.

For all intents and purposes, we own something now. Weird. I know it's
not really us owning it yet (maybe in 20 years!). Plus closing isn't
until August 30th. But still.

Yay!

Now I'm awfully tired.

A-ha!

We bought this one.

I mistakenly thought it was off MLS, but having just found it that's clearly not the case.

Also, sorry about the weird formatting of my recent posts - I'm trying out a way of posting by email, but I'll figure it all out soon.
