I've taken the plunge, and am fooling around with this Flickr doohickey. Not so sure this relationship is going to work out, it's got a lot of flash. And a lot of Flash.

But anyway. Go check out the photos from our trip! They're mostly in order (complaint number one about flickr, btw). This link should take you into the set of pictures. Most have captions, but feel free to demand further information... :-)

Yes, the weather was surprisingly excellent! It was even, at times, a bit too dry and warm -- a rain shower might have moistened us up a bit.

They're getting rid of the Flash and replacing it with good ol' DHTML.

You can put them in order when you make a set - I typically do that and then send people to the set link rather than the photostream link.

Handy Tip: Grab the RSS feed from your comments to stay up-to-date with what people are saying about your photos (or, there could be an option to have the comments emailed to you that wasn't there when I set my RSS feed up).

Hmmm. I must admit I'm still not a member of the RSS club. I've used them a bit, but so far haven't found the killer app. Maybe someday. I couldn't find an email notification for comments, so I'll try this out and see.

The comment and friend management stuff seems very whateveryacallit, the google-popular techno-family. Ummm. AJAX. Yeah.

I'm feeling like an old computer engineer, rather than a young and hip IT professional.

Oh, and moving a photo from the end of the photo set to the beginning is ungodly painful when you have 160 photos in a set.
