Well! That was a trip.

More complete writeup to come. For now:

- skaughty still in the MIA column. I hope I'm not worried for a good reason.
- Google Maps does the UK now, which is good: I'd like to send a postcard to a porn star we met.
- I'm SOOOOOO glad that leapfish was so loving as to pay for this weekend -- the UK is insanely expensive.

That's bad. All the while the US exchange rate varied from 67 to 85 cents, the CAD-GBP rate pretty much stayed at $2.00.

At out hotel in New York a few weeks ago, breakfast cost $26.00 each before tax and tip. Fortunately, the room and one of our plane tickets was free.

I need to get some more business travel so I can get these miles and points built back up.

I've been watching the pound for four or five years as a part of my job, and it's always been $2.10-$2.50.

Maybe it's converting it through USD - if a CAD was $.70, a GBP was $1.40.

Nope, not hardly.

I used to go to TO quite often when it was .67-.70. Now that it's what, .83, I don't know that I can justify the expense when I can go to Chicago and not have to convert things.
