I gotta say, I'll probably go see this. I hate Michael Bay movies, but I always enjoy them too. Pure fluff.

Director Michael Bay, known for action pictures like Pearl Harbor and Armageddon, is in the running to direct the upcoming Transformers movie.

The live-action feature film is based on the 1980s cartoon, which was in turn inspired by a line of Hasbro toys. The Transformers are giant robots that can change shape to become planes, trucks, ships and other vehicles or pieces of heavy equipment.

They gotta have Soundwave but they'll probably ruin him by 'modernizing' him. They'll turn him into an MP3 player or a PSP or something.

They'll probably try to be p.c. and introduce girl robots. I can't be the only person out there who homoeroticized Transformers. Poor Bumblebee was everyone's bitch.

I am interested to see if they do have the special effects to make the transformers believable. I keep picturing "Clash of the Titans" and the clay animation.
