A fellow instructor just described "Eastern Canada" (meaning Atlantic Canada, rather than Ontario, as Albertans might think) as the place with "all the money," and as the home of the "fat cats."

He was only talking about within our company, which makes it still untrue but closer to possible. But still, a little weird to hear.

Unless he meant it in the context of "where all the money goes". :-) I was on a plane once with a guy from Toronto (I think) who, the second he found out where I was from, said "Oh, so you're where all our nice big transfer payments go to."
