Thank goodness for the dog.

Yay for dogs!

(the following is made up, not real, and should not be used to influence your vote on Monday)

NDP response: Guns are bad, so we're banning them more, and we're announcing the Canada Dogs Act. Alexa adds: Julian Fantino should resign, I'm so shocked and appalled.

Liberal response: Guns are (mumble mumble). Let me be clear: dogs are (mumble mumble).

Bloc response: Les chiens seront heureux a la souvreineté, et nous esperons que tous les Quebecois et Quebecoises votez pour une Quebec libre pour tous les chiens.

Conservative response: Clearly there is no need for the gun registry. Additionally, the market is best equipped to determine the appropriate number of dogs in each park, so a Conservative government will provide a $1000-per-dog tax credit for all families who own a gun.

But you're missing the real issue:

Dogs--Should they be part of the Canada Health Act? I think they should.

I'm sorry, but because you included several verbs, candidates will be able to understand your comment. 5 demerits.

Should dogs have rights then? Should they have the right to marry?

My party, after a free vote, would use the notwithstanding clause to ensure that no public funds go to support the right of gay dog foetuses to marriage under the Canada Health Act.

I'm not so sure I want to go to any of your parties. They sound complicated.

Clearly, it's bad music that should be banned:

"In the trunk, a collection of CDs revealed a taste for the music of Mariah Carey, the Doors, Abba and Judas Priest."

(I love the fact that the Globe reported those details :o) ).

Better than the National Post: "Gun Registry Doesn't Prevent Near Rampage"*
