Meow?
Dammit, now I'm sunk. I went to the Humane Society with a coworker today as she dropped off a donation. The animals had signs posted near them explaining their situations, their availability, or their quirks. I got to see the rabbits (who can die of fright, I've learned), a huge monitor lizard ("I am NOT available for adoption. Please do not open the terrarium!!"), and a dozen of the cutest dogs ever ("I need help with socializing!", or the depresso-larious "I have particular problems with men.") Even though I know I don't (yet) have the patience to get a dog, and that Vinny wouldn't want one, my heart just about broke seeing them there. They did have 5-6 cats, all old and quiet, with many empty cages -- perhaps an adoption drive recently? I'm trying to pretend that's the only possible reason.

But we could visit the Cambridge shelter, or Guelph...

All I need are a few 'seeder' rabbits, a decent bunny mutagen (would aspartame work?), and lots of very loud noises.
How long before I get sick of eating bunny stew? Would I even need to 'scare' the bunnies if I fed them too much Diet Coke?

Your trip to the shelter could be easily changed out for a stroll through Reflections.
P.S. Thanks fro spreading depressio-larious.

The New Aloneness
Get some cats. They're good for the soul. Bad for the sofa, but good for the soul. We have a wide variety. Our souls don't need any more help. :-)
