Surprise! We ended up liking this one best. Lots of potential, and we can take the condo fees we won't be paying and use them to work on renovations! We'll be "house poor" for a little while I think.

Congrats. That's great. You're about the 5th young couple I know of in the past year buying one of those East York bungalows -- according to our agent, the whole area is transforming pretty rapidly, as the older generation is moving on and younger families are moving in.

Check the water rates. The city keeps hiking them and you're moving into a 60 year old (or so) house.

It looks like a nice place from the outside. I really like the 40s & 50s houses that are smaller but all brick. :)

We're pretty good about water usage, and we'll be replacing appliances fairly quickly. No dishwasher actually, so we'll be doing dishes the hard (more efficient) way. :)

That's very efficient of you. I'll be making use of my dishwasher in my new place. It's brand new and LEEDs approved, so everything will be energystar.
