Message In A Bottle

Apparently, working on kitchen cabinets can make people angry. I found this note scrawled on the side of a cabinet when I removed it from the wall.

Let's hope you don't find "her" behind any of the drywall!

You know, there is a real poetry to that... makes me think of story possibilities...

Who wrote it and why? Was it out of anger or despair? Or was it something else? Hmmm...

I may write something... that's really cool.

Exactly! The seven words conjure a huge amount of background out of nothing. Highly amusing.

If it helps, the cabinets are the originals from when the building was built, and every condo had the same ones. In my mind, it detracts from the personal nature of the story though. :)

Not necessarily - could have been the construction guy who worked on that unit... hmmm

I think I will write something - that is just too cool. :-)

Oh yeah, it's not that it removes possibilities, just in my mind it changes the dynamic -- why was the note in our condo and not another one? If it was cabinets just for ours, "her" could have been sitting in the next room, while he seethed.

What note are you leaving behind the cupboards?

[identity profile] c9.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
"These IKEA cupboards are pretty. Please do not write on them."

Come on... give us something sassy! :)

[identity profile] c9.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
I was waiting for you to provide the sass.

Or if you're busy, maybe Sass Jordan can provide the sass.

If I were putting together a condo, I would write something on *every* cupboard, in *every* unit.

I suggest you start knocking on doors and asking "What's written behind your cupboards?"
