I'm a bit spooked they put bareback in... in that it almost legitimizes people doing it... and in a wierd way might give them the excuse to.

I dunno. That's a bit like the scene in Office Space where they look "money laundering" up so that they can try to do it themselves. No one is going to whip out their dictionary before getting it on (or do you have a secret to share?)

If you're interested, I could always give you more words to look up in the dictionary, baby. ;)

"Murder", "procreate", and "breakdance" are also in the Canadian Oxford Dictionary. I don't see hordes of gay men rushing out to do any of these.

I think you overestimate the sway which the Canadian Oxford Dictionary holds over the lives of gay men.

Murder, procreate and breakdance are all things which are either universally common or culturally accepted in the majority, regardless of whether they are just or not. Barebacking is an act performed by a minority of a minority which I don't particularly see as common or terribly culturally accepted.

I just find it strange they would include that in there and not, say, felching or shrimping. I wonder if rimming is even in there. And yes, I do think that some twisted fag might think "wow, the Oxford dictionary says this is real," snort a line and then "mmm, barebacking is good!"

I doubt it, but ya never know.

I still think it's odd they'd put that in there.
