Tonight's Reader Participation Moment

Living across the street from the police station, I'm beginning to appreciate the many different ways lights can be made to flash and blink, with accompanying sirens. In Halifax, police vehicles are red/white/blue flashing, which to me is very "normal." But I suspect it may be possible for other colours to be made to flash, so I thought I'd ask:

What colour are the cop car lights in your part of the world?

Seattle: Standard North American red/white/blue most of the time, but I just noticed the other night they have the ability to make them flash 'caution but not emergency' yellow.

Interestingly enough I discovered this when I pulled up to a cop car at a red light with an open bottle of sake balanced precariously in my passenger seat. I had been transporting it back to my fridge from a friend's and didn't even think of the whole 'open container' thing until I noticed a bunch of cops standing outside of the cop car - all with great views into my front seat. Luckily they ignored me.

The army of micro-robots flash all the colours of the rainbow in the land of Phil.

they have that annoying multi-coloured flash, like yours. I miss the red ones.

Since I live in your apartment, facing the same police station, I have to say that we're *probably* getting the same view, but I cannot be certain of this. There are cute boys on the sidewalk right now. Can you see them?
