Walkin' in a winter DEATHTRAP...

Some pictures for the out-of-towners...

What we woke up to... the window in our bedroom normally displays the outdoors in convenient window-sized form.

When I looked left out the front door...

When I looked right...

Some houses that face the Central Commons, the huge park (field) near our place...

Standing near the corner of Brunswick and Duke, right downtown. That's the Old Town Clock on Citadel Hill you can barely see, about 100m away from me.

Normally, the entrance to the CIBC Tower downtown.

How I looked when I got through the door above. Coming home was worse, I ended up with an ice and snow helmet, since I wasn;'t wearing a hat (dumb dumb dumb).

The two plows matingtrying to get unstuck...

Glad you made it home safely. I ventured two blocks up the street, and in my 1.5 hour journy, I became stuck in a snow drift.

the snow drift seemingly has excellent Internet access.

The miracles of wifi!

Glad you made it back ok.

We pushed our doors open to move some snow just in case we had to get out in a hurry.

I'm hearing the snow is supposed to end around midnight, but we'll have blowing snow into tomorrow afternoon.

I wish I was in Halifax today. Or that I wasn't sick when it snowed here. I live at the bottom of a very large hill, and people were skiiing/snowboarding/toboganning/etc down it all day long in January during our major 'snow storm'. It waswould've been great fun!

But alas, I just settle for my rain.

Ah Seattle.

I wish that you were here too, Pete. That way, I'd put in movies and make yummy snacks and tell stories about boys, instead of sitting on my arse like I have been.

Storm days were meant for good times.

That picture made my eyes water. You look SO cold Cam.. and also kinda hot. Ironic huh.

As *if*. I seriously should have taken a picture when I got home, you'll have to ask Vinny how I looked. I feel like my entire head was encased in an ince shell. Much worse to look at. :)

No I was serious.. the picture was mysterious is a good way... I liked it.

Handsome devil you. ;)

When I'm bored I turn into a flirty skank

Liked the fourth pic. Wish if I could have some of your snow to refresh myself here. Current weather in Santiago: 35ÂșC... and no AC at work :(

Oh wow. I wish I could hang out in Santiago for a few minutes. :)

I love the second and fourth pictures -- the flash against the snow looks so beautiful.

OK I don' tmiss everything about Halifax. ;)

Thanks for the pictures.

No problem. I'm glad the camera survived, it got a little wet during the excursion...

Is it wrong that I'm sort of turned on by that snow-plow picture?

It was like watching two whales trying to mate. Or perhaps an aircraft carrier landing. They only even made contact every second or third time...
