I just won an ebay auction for a new Palm. A Tungsten T3, for those who are wondering. I got it at a great price, but it's not really something that I *need*. I'm totally excited to get it, but still... it's not like we have trips to Montreal, Scotland, ________ (secret honeymoon location), Burning Man, and surely somewhere this fall too, to pay for. Plus the wedding itself. And new furniture if we move. Probably even if we don't move. So all in all, a fairly irresponsible purchase. Tsk tsk.

For those who are keeping count, this is the *second* time I've won an ebay auction for a new Palm that I didn't expect to win because I bid so low.

(how low? At Future Shop: $688.85 Canadian with tax. My final total, with shipping, $490 Canadian or so (depending on currency exchange), hopefully won't have to pay any customs duties)

($490? Does it have a solid gold case? some of you are asking)

(and some of the maritimers are asking: Does it have a jesus gold case?)

Sure it's a bit pricey and you could have got by without it, but it's right fun to have. Bite in. Enjoy it.

That's a pretty good bargain there. Now, when you said "[you] bid so low" I figured that you got if for like $5 or something, didn't realize that it was *that* high. Congrats.

Ah yes, "so low" is not really *that* low. Low for a Tungsten T3, but not really low. :)

I gathered that. But still that's a pretty impressive price for it though. Thats like $200 off.
