Schadenfreude

...a German word with no English equivalent, meaning 'taking pleasure in the troubles of others.' See: Conrad Black. :-)

Actually I know that word, because my roommate Malcolm in Maggie Jean used that word to describe Tanya and her sense of humor one day because she thinks its funny when people get hurt and fall down.

Sadist is a rough equivalent of that word. Any Greek prefix can add a level of specificity to it, for that matter.

Close yes, but there's a certain je ne sais quoi missing from sadism. Does Boston have any news about the former Canadian former media baron who may soon be a former free man, former member of the House of Lords, and former Briton (there's a rumour he wants his Canadian citizenship back!) ? Je pense pas. :)
