More Weekend Update

I forgot to post yesterday about my favourite part of the weekend: getting carded going into Club Renaissance. Seriously, I'm 30. WTF? We all got carded, so I really was just caught in a wide net, but hey. I'll take it.

Today we went to the Kitchener BBQ Beer and Craft Fair. I was advised ahead of time that it was craft beer, as in microbreweries, not actual crafts. Which is fine: there are plenty of craft fairs around here already. We had award-winning ribs, fewer-award-winning ribs, grilled corn on the cob and yams, and several different beer samples ($1 each, but you had to buy the official $5 glass to hold the samples. hmmm.)

It was cloudy, then sunny, then cloudy, then sunny and thundering at the same time, then droplets of rain, then sunny, then huge downpour that soaked us and sent everyone running for the trees or home. I wanted to get the home-made ice cream sundae ($3) but the rain got me first. Oh well. Probably for the best.

Tonight it's leapfish's lasagna and relaxing. I'm not ready for weekdays to start again!

I got carded at the liquor store this summer. Me! I wasn't carded even when I was underage.
