i don't stay at my desk for lunch.
we're not allowed.

thus 30 minutes exactly, daily, is spent with coworkers + eating.

That sounds like an awesome policy.

I eat at my desk occasionally, sometimes J comes over for lunch, sometimes we eat at the cafe, sometimes on the lawn in front of the Old Arts Building. All too frequently, at .

If I work through lunch, I feel no qualms about leaving early.

I sometimes just drop by the lunchroom to chat while other people eat.

My office is pretty laid back.

I don't technically work in an office.

I generally tell the kids to get their lunches, and then either head down to the staffroom or beeline to my car to McDonald's. Lately, I have been hiding in my classroom at lunch because my fellow teachers are mostly a bunch of wankers who I would rather not converse with over lunch because it is bad for both my blood pressure and my digestion.

One of the guys here is a huge South Park fan so we usually get away from our desks and watch an episode of South Park while we eat. With 10 seasons, we haven't run out yet. After that we will probably move on to The Family Guy or some other show.
