Coming up next: Fashion File

So here I am, bored in Kingston, Nova Scotia. After a whirlwind, stressful week of driving back and forth, I'm finally staying here one night. I need the sleep. Sadly, it's so boring I may hang myself before I fall asleep. Even Spike TV isn't showing non-stop Star Trek anymore! Stupid Highlander.

I need a fun computer game to absorb the time. But being on dialup, I can't download anything larger than 200kb of fun, realistically.

I brought a change of clothes to wear tomorrow while teaching. Logically. But I forgot to bring jeans (casual Friday, especially when I get to make the rules!). So my shirt, a beige golf shirt, will look a little silly with my pants, beige khakis. I fear this outfit, almost enough to go to Zellers and buy replacement jeans. Or possibly shirt.

Please advise. :-)

If you're bored, take a trip to Lawrencetown to the "LTR" (i.e. Lawrencetown Restaurant). It's got the best old lady food in the Valley.

And wasn't there something about pressure-cooked chickens? I remember this being hilarious, but I have no idea why.

I'm sure there's a subtle joke in there somewhere about pressure on the job for you and Mike... fill in punchline here.

"... so the chicken says, 'Not tonight dear, I have a pressure headache!"

Sorry, it's all I could come up with at such short notice.

Al has that entire menu memorized. I believe it was his favourite part of the trip. I believe the final like was that they were all Eggs-tatic about the pressure fried chicken.

Like made sense as well, in a more esoteric way.

You should go buy jeans.

You should NOT go to Zellers to buy jeans. Find the nearest Diesil retailer to where you are and go there. Barring Diesil retailers, try Mexx, Esprit or in case of last attempts, Gap will work.

You're so funny Pete. Do you have *any* grasp of the size of Kingston? Even if I drove for half an hour, I'd still only have Zellers to choose from, but the rest of the mall would be bigger.

I wish I was home.

I do promise to ask the Zellers employees if they stock Mexx though.

("is that like Martha Stewart? We also have Rue McClanahan sweaters!")

I completley grasp what you have available in Kingston. Thats why I suggest these places. They are not going to be available in Kingston, thus facilitating your departure from Kingston.
