Professional Skills

I get emails from some companies telling me about the trainers they have available, should we need a skill that we don't have on staff. Today, I got an email informing me that "We have professional skills trainers now!" The email included many course titles they offer. Excerpt:
  • Quality Management
  • Sales Management
  • Sales Skills
  • Sexual Harassment
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention
  • Time Management
Anybody else see a conflict of interest?

Hmmm Sexual Harassment? Teach your employees to sexually harass one another in an afternoon. Then the next day. Teach them how to not sexually harass one another. LOL

That cracked me up.

Hm, reminds me of a recent work experience.

All around the office, seemingly overnight, a bunch of HR-sponsored notices sprung up with phrases such as "Harrassment is not acceptable", "Workplace harassment is your responsibility to report", and my personal favorite, "Stop workplace harassment now". They were up for about two months and then suddenly disappeared, all at once. Apparently, harassmant is now acceptable.
