Thai by Lake!

We had yummy Thai food for supper last night. Their "medium" is pretty damn hot. Great food, great friends, etc etc. Beyond all that, I share the best part of their menu below. See anything unusual?

would the other side of lake ontario be the US?

I dunno, but Thailand is full of floating markets, so perhaps they have a way to deliver to your boat....

is there a reason we haven't friended each other yet?

i mean, i don't bite... hard.

OMG, you so weren't quoting that song... say it ain't so, Josh! Say it ain't so!! *faints*

you're about an hour drive outside of that delivery area. Hell, even when I lived in Mississauga, I was out of that delivery area.

[identity profile] c9.livejournal.com 2005-11-13 11:49 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, last night we were only a 15 minute walk from the restaurant. But yeah, Kitchener is definitely not in the zone.

[identity profile] petele.livejournal.com 2005-11-13 12:16 pm (UTC)(link)
okay, how about they have a deliver charge in lake ontario?

[identity profile] c9.livejournal.com 2005-11-13 12:18 pm (UTC)(link)
It's tough to tell the specifics. Do they mean they charge if you're on the water (but docked), on the water, or in New York State? AMusing.

completely unrelated:

how do you feel about this?

are there canadian agencies that could help her with her defense?

[identity profile] c9.livejournal.com 2005-11-13 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Sad, but pretty common. Little guy/girl vs. big corporation. I had seen the headlines, but not realized it was right here in my town.

There are all sorts of civil defence agencies, and luckily she's all over the news so hopefully she'll be able to get through it OK.

"Hi. I would like to order a super hot chicken pad thai. And it should be delivered to 44 Dirty Oily Underneath the Algae Growth Waterway. How much will that be? Also, can I place an order on behalf of my neighbor, the three eyed fish from the Simpsons?"

Dinky Binky!

Now this begs to ask the question: if they deliver to addresses on Lorne Park Rd &c, and they deliver to the addresses on the opposite side of the street as well, do lakefront homes in, say, Rochester, get free delivery? What about houseboats?

My homemade Thai is better.

[identity profile] gregr92.livejournal.com 2005-11-13 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if you had to swim to a boat to deliver some jackass their food, you'd charge for delivery too :)
