SFU

Just finished the final season of Six Feet Under. I was very... entertained. It was well done, the whole series as a package. After I see or hear something that really resonates with me, I have a heavy heart for the next little while. I guess I'm still processing it. Or maybe trying to hold on to it. Anyway, now I'm off to read what my LJ friends said about it *weeks* ago, if I can find the posts. :)

Don't worry - you're not the last one. I still haven't seen the series finale. It's sitting on Brian's TiVo waiting for time where he and I are free and his gf isn't.

I've never seen SFU but heard it's good. What's it about? Is it like A&E's Family Plots?

Possibly, I haven't seen FP. I think SFU came first.

Nathaniel Fisher runs a funeral home in LA, and his son works for him. His daughter is a high school artist, and his other son is a stoner living in Seattle. When he dies, his stoner son comes home to help with the funeral business, and the whole fucked up family meets many other fucked up people. It's very cool and very messed up sometimes. Kinda hard to describe.

Go to Video Difference on Quinpool (because they're cool, that's why) and rent Season 1. Devour it. Then you'll see. :)

If I have to take TWO busses it better be effin' worth it.

Well, tell me your favourite TV shows (not anything current). If it's all laugh tracks, then SFU is not for you. :)

I watch anything that's well done. Premise isn't really important. Is SFU dark humour or drama?

[identity profile] c9.livejournal.com 2005-09-10 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
Both. I suppose if you had to pick it would be drama, but there are really funny bits too -- mostly dark humour at that.

Totally not the same thing... 6FU is so much better but FP is till a good show from what I've seen. :)

Family Plots is great. I want to marry Shonna.

In deference to the two of you, I tried to keep any SFU discussion behind a cut. Here is a quick link to my posts, as best as I can find. There might be more that I forgot to tag.

Thanks, but I found your final episode post, which I was most interested in. The others I had read for the most part. After seeing a headline somewhere saying "Nate __ _____" I started to be careful. :)

You don't happen to know the title, or have a copy of the file that you could send to me?

In order to get it on iTunes, you have to buy the whole album!

I previewed all of the songs, and Breathe Me was the only one that interested me, and Cam found it on a torrent, so we're all set. But thanks :)

Already got it, but thanks!
