You may be wondering...

Why don't we go out and do something instead of being bored at home?

Heat wave fries Central Canada

This week's forecast

We're staying inside to avoid dying. It would be death by melting, which I'm led to believe is particularly horrid, and I'd have to say things like "I'm melting, I'm melting! Oh, what a world, what a world..."

I feel your pain. As we have no AC, I've been taking 3-4 frigid showers a day just to keep from overheating (and to clean off all the sticky sweat). Just walking up the street leaves me panting and drenched, which I normally like, but not under these circumstances.

I'd take snow over this nastiness any day.

We have tons of AC, it's too bad you guys are so far away!

We'll bring some in a bucket if we come to visit.

You should bump your plane tix up a few months. It's...uh...temperate here. I haven't even taken the fan I bought "in case of summer" out of the box yet.

But does melting from heat feel the same as melting from being water-soluble?[1] I'd guess that it's actually quite a different sensation.

[1] And when you think about it, she wasn't really 'melting' so much as she was 'dissolving'.[2]

[2] Unless I'm remembering the story incorrectly.

a) she was in fact dissolving
b) you are remembering the story somewhat questionably, since she herself stated that she was melting, despite obvious evidence to the contrary
c) there is likely a world of difference
d) which I don't care about

And here I am, just up from the [U.S.] South, where temperatures and humidity are a bit higher. Granted, we actually have AC down there, but I stilled walked to and fro everywhere while living down there, even in the middle of the summer!

Seb's been very unhappy with the weather, and our AC is doing enough for him. I personally feel just fine in the non-AC room.

But no worries - I'm sure winter will be a killer for me this year. :D

Yes and the frying continues... Thank god there is good AC in the hospital room that Johanne had, otherwise I don't know what we would have done.

I have to cut the grass but I think I will wait until later on tonight and take my chances with the bugs vs the sun.
