Today's Lesson

do NOT sit in the rear of movie theatres in Nova Scotia.

We went to see 'Love Actually' (which was rather cute and entertaining, though fairly hetero-centric (normally not that horrible except that there were enough couples featured that at least one couple should have had some queer content (going by the 10% rule that is) ) ) and were alarmed to discover that we could cover our eyes and turn off the movie sound and still know exactly what was going on, thanks to the helpful girls sitting behind us. *Very* helpful.

'He's talking to the volleyball!'

meh, I'm sick of the token gay-subplot. All or nothing baby!!! I mean, with quality gay films out there like Broken Hearts Club, Kiss Me Guido, and The Fluffer how can you ask for anything more?

I think that rule is "Don't sit in the rear of movie theatres - anywhere". I sat in the second last row when I went to see Lost in Translation, where I was treated to a running commentary from the people behind me. The worst part was, everything they were saying - like how Mount Fugi is nowhere near Tokyo - was totally wrong. Sigh.
