Literally Mad As Hell
Canadian TV anchor Peter Kent has decided to run for the Tories in the upcoming election. In his nomination speech, he said that he is "literally mad as hell." I'm trying to think of ways to disprove this. Literally can be replaced by actually to check if it's being used correctly (i.e. "I'm actually being mauled to death by this tiger!"). But I don't know how mad hell really is.

In any case, I'd suggest that it is more his job to prove it, not yours to disprove. In this vein, one can suggest that he go to hell, to find out precisely how mad it is.
