No, the cats are super with the litter box (though they are very skilled at getting used litter onto the floor, wall, door, and appliances of the laundry room).
I was actually hunting "how to keep your cats off the table" tips. :)
I've heard that crushed red pepper, like the kind you'd find at a pizza parlor, are sufficiently annoying to cats.
Being highly allergic, I am also highly annoying to cats. The sight of me with bulging, bloodshot, watery eyes, screaming and waving my hands aimlessly, is enough to keep a cat out of ANYWHERE.
