The rescue organization just emailed -- they have two cats for us! They're testing them to see if they'll get along with each other (they're both male and could fight, though males get along easier than females). We could be proud airquote-parents soon!

(actually our condo corp restricts us to only ONE pet. So it's a good thing we have no balcony or shared areas...)
(since it's a rescue organization, we know that any cat who enters our home is not leaving, because if a cat leaves, it's going to be killed. so we joked that the rescue people better not show up with ten for us to choose from!!)

Angus and I just adopted two males from the humane society last night!
They were both returned sick to the hospital a few months ago and were in a foster home being nursed back to health together.
We got there and were looking at all the cats and then we saw the 2 of them sitting in the same cage snuggling together.. Angus and I just looked at each other and that was it.. We melted.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you 2 and hope your 2 male kitties can get along the way ours do!!
Hugs Cam and congrats on the newly extended family.

Although, they can be just as annoying as children, but without the messy diapers.
