Work

Me, in short email to schedulers for Toronto and London-Kitchener-area: "Any news on how I'm going to be used once I move into the neighbourhood?"

Toronto scheduler: "You're in Kitchener, so London owns you, d00d."

London scheduler: "I didn't know anything about this transfer, what the hell, when where what agagagagagagaggahaahh!!!" (paraphrased)

London scheduler, to my boss: "general freakout aaaaaaa aaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaa aaaaaaaack!" (paraphrased)

My boss, to me: "Why did you tell the whole company you're being transferred?!?!"

I swear I want to just hit them all with crowbars.

Who actually knew that you were going? From the look of things, just you and your boss apparently.

I don't know. It should be old news to them by now, but god knows what my boss has been planning, maybe it was her big secret. Fucking useless place sometimes.

"Open Office Management".

It would make scores of middle managers obsolete, so it'll never happen. But it would be nice. I got bit by the "why did you do that without telling me" bug twice this week. It's a rare week I don't use the "I thought you knew" or "You didn't tell me" defense, too.
