Clarke's Law

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
-- Arthur C. Clarke

Reading books by Clarke, at least back in his younger days, was like reading books by an alien from the future. He predicted so many advanced, and invented so many things himself, that you really felt like if he said it, it was going to happen. Not on his timeline (trips to Jupiter in 2001? Hardly.) but still.

Reading Bob Cringely's columns is kinda like that. It's creepy and fun.
